Early in the year the museum partnered up with Penguin Books to give away a free signed copy of Ben Macintyre’s latest book, ‘The Spy and the Traitor’.
Alongside that we were given exclusive videos of Macintyre discussing his 13th non-fiction book.
In this video he goes into great detail about the difficulties he faced when writing a book about MI6 and the KGB, what with everything being a secret!
The book centres around Oleg Gordievsky, a Soviet KGB officer who secretly worked for MI6 for nearly a decade during the Cold War era, providing vital information to the British.
