Book Introduction:
The Game of Life and How to Play it suggests that we can all bring into manifestation: health, wealth, love, and perfect self-expression, by clearly defining what we want, asking for it, letting go of fear, and taking action guided by intuition. She believed that there are 3 minds. The Conscious mind to help us through our daily life, the sub-conscious mind that acts on direction from the conscious mind (good or bad), and the super-conscious mind that is connected to the divine mind or God. She taught that by training our subconscious, conscious, and superconscious, we can discover our own truth and uncover the divine plan for each of us. That we can all develop our own ability to create and remake our reality through the power of thought. Shinn was born in 1871 and struggled as a working illustrator. She became a student of metaphysics and although connected to the publishing world as an illustrator of children’s books, she was unable to find a publisher to take on her book, “The Game of Life and How to Play It”. She was determined and self-published the work herself. She exemplified the idea that “Whatsoever a man soweth that shall he also reap.” - in both business and in life. She inspires us to get out there and take action. To try.
