The daughter of a Cold War spy was the featured author at the Friends of the Library literary luncheon on Nov. 21 at Strathmore Mansion. Dozens of book lovers turned out for the discussion with author Sara Taber, which included readings from her book, “Born Under An Assumed Name: the Memoir of a Cold War Spy’s Daughter.” Taber, a Silver Spring resident, shared stories from her life growing up in the espionage world and what it was like to live in a family who was constantly on the move. The event also featured a question and answer session and autograph session.
