Summer is the best time for reading with all the poolside, beachfront, and in-the-hammock lounging opportunities! Some teachers give you a list of required summer reading, but hopefully you get to choose some titles on your own too!

Some celeb faves are "The Secret Garden" (Anne Hathaway's fave -- hmmm, not "The Princess Diaries"??), "The Fantastic Mr. Fox" by Roald Dahl (Scarlett Johansson's favorite), and Neil Patrick Harris loves "Bridge to Terabithia" by Katherine Paterson (that one is so sad, but sooooo goood!!!).

Gabby just read "Drama" by Raina Telgemeier. It's a graphic novel about a girl who loves musical theatre, but can't sing, so she works in the tech department. It's fun & a super quick read since it's a graphic novel. Another fave is Harriet the Spy! It's been made into a movie (with Michelle Trachtenberg and Rosie O'Donnell) and a Disney movie (Harriet the Spy: Blog Wars), but the book is the best version!! Harriet wants to be a writer so she keeps journals on everything happening around her. The only problem is she writes some not-so-nice stuff about her friends and they find out. Drama ensues!
