Panipat is a highly celebrated Marathi book written by Vishwas Patil. This book is based on the third battle of Panipat which was fought between the Maratha Empire and Ahmed Shah Abdali in Panipat on January 14, 1761. More than 2.5 Lakh copies sold of Panipat book and it has been translated in 6 languages. Panipat has received 38 awards since its release in 1988. Vishwas Patil has also written a handful of best sellers in Marathi such as Mahanayak, Sambhaji, Pangira, zadazadati, ranagan and Chandramukhi. Here is his full interview.
