This is my review on The Satanic Rites Of Dracula a.k.a. Count Dracula and His Vampire Brides, which is the eighth film in the Hammer Dracula series.
Release Date: November 3, 1973 (UK)
Genre: Horror, Science Fiction, Mystery, Fantasy
Cast: Christopher Lee, Peter Cushing, Joanna Lumley
Written by Don Houghton
Based on characters from the book “Dracula” by Bram Stoker
Produced by Roy Skeggs & Don Houghton
Directed by Alan Gibson
Plot: Van Helsing must stop a Satanic cult led by the vampire known as Count Dracula, from destroying the world.
Brides, Horror and AD. 72 my favourite
Actually, the plot of the movie is that Dracula is overtired of being revived again and again, and seeks a form of peace by wanting to wipe out Humanity in order to prevent it from happening again. So, he engineers and apocalypse involving an advanced strain of the Bubonic Plague to bring about his Satanic Armageddon. And, actually, it was one of my more favorite Hammer Draculas, as well – although "Dracula: Prince of Darkness" was good, too.
It's my personal favorite of the Hammer Dracula series too
It's true. This was by no means the best of the Hammer Dracula series. Compared to some of the other dross made by other companies it's not that bad.
Great Review, man! I have neever heard of this film before, but I reeally have to check it out.
