OnTheBigAdventure says:

I've read a few of the excerpts from this book and I was hooked. I think, regardless of who she was tied to, Mary Karr had a beautiful way of writing. I haven't read any of the rest of the book yet, though it's on my list, but I am really looking forward to it! 🙂

Stephanie D says:

I started this for a class, which I was also supposed to read The Glass Castle for, but have not finished it yet! I did eventually finish The Glass Castle and really loved it, so now I definitely want to get to The Liars Club 🙂

The Jackal says:

Ashley please review 100 Years of Solitude by Gabriel Garcia Marquez!

Nancy's Reads says:

I just loved that Anne Lamott quote.

booksandpieces says:

Really good point about women in a field getting compared to each other, it's something I have to catch myself on occasionally especially in science fiction!

Chaneli Holguin says:

I'm currently reading The Glass Castle and it's so interesting and heartbreaking. Definitely will check out The Liars' Club in the future

Cindy Urban says:

Ashley, I really want to read this book now. I come from a very dysfunctional family. My Mothers side, and  Fathers side shared "Toxic Genes",so I'm always interested in other peoples "Life Stories". I loved "The Glass Castle",and look forward to this read.Thank you for another great review

Poison's Books says:

Great review! I really enjoy your reviews 🙂

monica kim says:

This sounds amazing! Also, I appreciated your disclaimer about the whole women-getting-compared-all-the-time thing. That's always really frustrating. Do you have any thoughts on the treatment of men's memoirs vs ones written by women (i.e. how seriously they're taken, etc)? I haven't read many, so I'd be interested to get your insight there.

Jazmyn Love says:

I definitely want to read this!

Jonathan's Library says:

Hmm drinking and telling stories. Sounds interesting. Great review.

i ate a cat says:

Not much to contribute as I've not read any of Karr's works. This sounds fabulous though and is going on my "buy it if I see it" list!

Also, your website looks stylin' now 🙂
