Ben Okri is considered one of Africa’s leading writers. In 1991 he received the Booker Prize for his novel “The Famished Road” – which made him the youngest ever winner of the prestigious literary award. His work bears the marks of postmodernism, Yoruba folklore, magical realism, and even existentialism. It also plays with postmodern storytelling and explores the question: What is reality?
This and other issues were discussed by Ben Okri and DW Reporter Robin Merrill. Enjoy!
