Heart of Darkness is a short novel that follows the travels of a man named Marlow. Marlow is promoted to a captainship in the Congo, at the heart of Africa. There, there is an active operation to find, collect, and send back to Europe, ivory. Ivory, a beautiful yet horrifically sourced material, is being collected by the Europeans by any means necessary.
