The Bottled Imp – Episode 081
The Bottled Imp dons its armour, sharpens its two-handed sword and delves into the dark, dank world that is Dungeons & Dragons. More specify the ‘Dungeons & Dragons 5th Edition Starter Set’ published in 2014 by Wizards of the Coast.

“Welcome to the immersive world of Dungeons & Dragons,” says the Dungeon Master with a cruel smile on his lips. He knows what’s in store for your party of brave adventures. Unfortunately you don’t. But rather than deter you, this spurs you and your fellow glory seekers on to conquer all kinds of hideous creatures, out-whit the most diabolical of evilness and enjoy a hearty meal and a pint of ale.

Every wanted to explore this strange and compelling world known as Dungeons & Dragons but the rules looked to complicated? Well, now you can tuck into this starter set that has all you need to crack on with adventuring without all the complexities of the full game.

One Christmas many moons past, my brother received the 2nd edition of Dungeons & Dragons. We were so excited! But our joy was short live as we soon realised how complex and bewildering the rules seemed. Things have now changed thanks to the genius idea to create the ‘Dungeons & Dragons 5th Edition Starter Set’.

In the box is a 32-page full colour Starter Set Rulebook, your first campaign called ‘Lost Mine of Phandelvier’ 64-page adventure book, 5 pre-generated characters, each with a character sheet and supporting reference material, and 6 game dice.
