Goodness, don't worry about that girlie. I didn't think anything about it, and I make fun of my own anxiety all the time anyway. If I'm going to suffer from it, I figure at least I can make a joke or two about it:) xxx Christy

ididmyface says:

Awww, girlie, that's such a sweet comment. It made my day. I'm so sorry you are down in the dumps. I'm glad I could bring a little smile to your bad day. That makes it all worth it. Hope your weekend is happy and awesome!!! Big hugs from me to you!!! xxx Christy

Thanks Cindy:) xxx Christy

Thanks for sharing your story girlie. Addiction scares me greatly. I've seen people go through it and it is a living hell. So sad:( I do take daily medication (Lexapro) which is traditionally meant for depression, but is also used for anxiety disorder. I only use the meds for immediate relief when I'm actually having an attack because I'm terrified of exactly what you said, becoming addicted or them not working. I think you will love the book! Have a good weekend girlie!!! xxx Christy

Get the panic to power book, thanks!

oshmommy says:

Pt 2 a want to greatly caution you and anyone else about the major issues that come with daily use of the ones that are meant to stop an attack. The dependence issue is serious. If you use it often it starts to not work as well and can get to the point that it will not work,at all! So, be wise when making medical decisions about medications and treatments. Use your head and try not to make choices emotionally. You seem very practical and smart and so very sweet. Thanks for sharing, I'm going to

oshmommy says:

Christy, I've been through all different levels of anxiety and panic attacks. I've also suffered since childhood. I have some experience with different medications that I would like to share. I've found daily therapeutic medicine is great and there is a time for the type of meds to treat an attack immediately.

Great review.

Thanks! Hope you have a great week too!!! xxx Christy

I do both:) My shrink told me I was one of his favorite patients. I wore a shirt there once just for him when I got back from San Fran. It said "Alcatraze Phych Ward" I said, "I wore this just for you". I was a little uncomfortable in the waiting room though. Probably should have thought that through a little better! ha ha xxx C

ididmyface says:

I completely agree, learning about it and accepting it helps tremendously, although sometimes I still don't want to accept that its always peeking around the corner getting ready to jump out at me. I'm sorry you didn't get to enjoy your pregnancy as much as you would like to. I'm terrified of child birth. They would have to knock me out or tie me to the bed or something. LOL I'd panic for sure. Its nice to know that I'm not alone with this monster. Wish we could cure it. xxx Christy

ididmyface says:

Thanks so much Betty! You are so sweet to me and I really appreciate it. You always make me smile:) I'm so glad that you are free from attacks now. I'm going to see my Dr next month so we'll see what he says. I'm all for the lesser of the two evils and panic disorder is pretty evil! Hope you had an awesome day!!! xxx Christy

ididmyface says:

Thanks! I hope you enjoy the books. I think you will:) xxx Christy

Also, CBT and meds when needed! xxoo

And finally accepting it does help.

kelligirl724 says:

I read from Panic to Power and I agree…it helped me tremendously. Mine is odd too and just hits me. I don't get anxiety about flying or things like that. It's weird. I've had it since I was a teen but didn't know what it was. It really got worse when I was pregnant with my first child. What should have been a special time was not to say the least. You are correct..it flares up, goes away, comes back. I think knowledge is power so I educated myself as much as possible. Knowing, understanding an

Betty Dickerson says:

Part 2…..no fear of attacks..but I take it 1mg 3x a day. Its safe, even being ill it has caused me no issues at all. My fear was addiction, yes it can be if people use for wrong reasons. But used right, yes you become medically dependent, just as any needed medicine, but having had bad bad attacks that was the lesser of two evils, and I had to wen off for surgery and did well. Your book review my friend was great, as always, your very brave and very special, you are a beautiful person.xxx,

Betty Dickerson says:

Same here sweetie, small places are a big no-no, Ive read Truth Be Told, Lucinda Bassett id great, but for me Klonopin daily x3 is my saving grace. I find my attacks come from no where, even from a sound sleep, but in stressful situations Im ok, put me high up and panic, small place panic. My doctor told me the same its always there, its chemical reaction causing brain to misfire. I too took klonopin here n there, when i began it regular as I said I looked not 5 but 6+ years now. No attacks.

ididmyface says:

Thanks girlie!! I think you are fabulous too!! xxx Christy

ididmyface says:

Awww, thank you Stacy, I really hope so. If it helps one person then its worth talking about. Sounds like your dad and I are kindred spirits. I feel his pain! You should read Lucinda's book. You'll like it:) xxx Christy
