After research and discussion with members in the book community, using the phrase “POC Author” is not necessarily wrong, but it is not the best way to phrase that prompt as it is redundant and POC is not intended to be used as an adjective. I have changed our templates to say “Author of Color” for that prompt moving forward and that can be found in my Instagram stories!

Alexandra Jamjom says:

Thank you very much

Aisha says:

I just finished watching Bridgeton on Netflix. Watching It felt like I was reading a well written historical romance novel, real props to the cast. I highly recommend you check it out.

Rids Asim says:

Judith Sanchez says:

Kathleen that book was the one that she sold one million dollars and is the mother of Historical romance.

Maria Georgeadis says:

Here's the thing. Consent issues in older books is a problem but two men in love wanting a bride they can share is normal. I don't have a problem with it but why do we not like the first but the second is ok.

Candie Schaal says:

I am a historical romance newbie and loved seeing the recommendations.

jolyne renelle says:

I fell in love with Lisa Kleypas during the quarantine. She's an amazing author.
I screamed out when you mentioned the Secret by Julie Garwood…It was my first book of the genre as a teenager, and it stands as on one of my favorite books of all time and she is my favorite author.
I have a book recommendation…It's called Redemption by Karen Kingsbury with Gary Smalley. It's part of a 5-part series I think and it's beautiful. I hope if you ever give it a try, that you love it!

Taylor Thomas says:

Where did you get your lord of scoundrels book I have been looking for that specific cover hehe

Rea Rea Reads says:

This is the video I needed!! I want to try diving into historical romances but I literally have no idea where to start! Definitely adding some of these to my want to read list!

Casey Plans & Pages says:

So excited for this readathon!!

Haley Willis says:

Do you think you need to read Fires of Winter before reading Hearts Aflame by Johanna Lindsey?

DevLizPat says:

A book for at sea: The Other Miss Bridgerton by Julia Quinn. It’s also part of a series.

lefty says:

I can't understand the purpose of this video. How can you recommend books you haven't even read? You're going for quantity over quality by churning out many videos per week. Slow down, don't talk so fast and plan out some video ideas and take your time with them.

P. LO says:

Gentle Rogue. It’s part of the Mallory series. It probably was recommended before The magic of you because it’s first in the series. James Mallory is dreamy and he’s not just any pirate, he’s a gentleman pirate. 😍

onthefritz says:

So excited that The Madness of Lord Ian Mackenzie is one of your faves, I have that on my monthly TBR! I'm gonna try to squeeze in 2 books that weekend. I love weekend readathons, but it can be hard to squeeze in more than one book for me.
